Writing a proposal
Proposal: How to reduce poverty
Introduction
As requested by the editor, I am submitting the following proposal on gathering some of the possible ways of reducing the extent of poverty all over the world.
Assisting the poor
1. Reducing the gap
I am inclined to believe that if the poor are helped, the gap between the rich and them can significantly be reduced. In my proposal, I attempt to suggest some working ways that may help people in need.
2.More donations should be collected
Millions of people are in totally desperate circumstances which may threaten their health, life, financial and emotional security. Given that charity organisations were organised on a regular basis to the wealthy and ordinary people alike, a considerable amount of money could be gathered and then allocated to finance medicine, to train health workers, to improve the quality of healthcare systems in general, to educate people in need about the causes of certain fatal diseases. Were the poor trained more, they would definitely be able to survive more life-threatening circumstances.
3. Establishing more opportunities for working
Lack of job prospects makes a plethora of impoverished people live under miserable, poverty-stricken circumstances in which they cannot scrape a living. Not only should governments establish new opportunities for them to be able to have a decent job, but they also ought to provide disadvantaged people with some essential social benefits.
4. Rehabilitation centres
As a rule, poorer parts of the world are stricken with higher crime rates too as the poor tend to turn to drugs or alcohol in their desperation. Many of them are forced to commit petty crimes in order to survive their harsh living conditions. I blindly believe that state-of-the-art rehabilitation centres can help in the long term with reintegrating these people into society. I am absolutely sure that a conspicuous improvement could be made with the help of these institutions and their anti-addiction programmes.
Conclusion
Having considered the various options listed, I firmly believe that my proposal is the fairest way of reducing the gap between the disadvantaged and the wealthy, and I do really trust that you will give it due consideration.
