Part 1: Questions that may be addressed to either candidate.
Are you a student or do you have a job, or both?
What do you like most about your studies/job?
Describe your typical day at school/work/college.
Has your attitude to school/college/work changed since you started there?
Who are your best friends?
How did you meet them?
What do you particularly like about them?
Do they have any faults?
Have they done anything that has particularly helped you?
Useful expressions:
- What I keen on most is/are…
- I am fond of…/relish +ing.../ savour the moment.../ have a soft spot for
- To paint the town red… meaning: go out and enjoy oneself flamboyantly.
- To have a whale of a time with my family, spending quality time together,
- Life-long learning
- Suitable time management
- Pen-pusher work at home (paper-pusher work -derogatory expression)
- We are in the same boat
- We share some common interests
- but we are like chalk and cheese
- bone-idle, too sarcastic,
- shopaholic, compulsive shopper, too melancholic and extrovert,
- always supportive when needed
